Sales Account Executive (S2)

Position Details

Requirements

Your skill set includes solid sales forecasting ability and revenue achievement while building satisfied, loyal and referenceable customers. You have a passion for sales and 5+ years in SaaS and/or applications sales focused primarily to the VP/CxO level (ideally in EHS compliance, ERP or B2B company), candidates should possess:

  • A background in inbound and outbound prospecting and closing of new business
  • Consistent over-achievement of a $1M+ quota
  • Familiarity with environmental compliance, sustainability, energy, and GHG management
  • Strong desire to work in software technology sales
  • Minimum 5 years of business experience (EH&S Software Sales a plus)
  • Ability to conduct software demonstrations and presentations that range from standard to custom in a variety of industry segments
  • Experience implementing entire suite of products in proof of concept scenarios and production applications
  • Desire to support prospects through their evaluation process, providing training and support assistance
  • Ability to deliver training and workshops as necessary to attract new clients and grow existing clients
  • Understanding of a customer’s technical and business environment and requirements
  • Comfort presenting complex technical topics to business and technical audiences in an Enterprise Software environment
  • Understanding of carbon accounting, climate change strategy, CSR Reporting, and GHG inventory strategy

Entry-Level Environmental Scientist (P1)

Position Details

Immediate opening for a full-time entry-level environmental scientist with 0 to 3 years of experience at environmental firm that offers technically complex projects and unique opportunities for growth. You will be a support team member contributing to our environmental services and software markets. You will participate in services software customer service. Position is mentored by senior staff.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follows and develops work plans and HASPs
  • Uses in-house proprietary database software and provides costumer support
  • Contributes to software technical documentation and implementation of testing plans

Environmental Engineer or Geologist (P5)

Position Details

Immediate opening for a full-time entry or junior-level environmental engineer/geologist with 0 to 3 years of experience at environmental consulting and software firm that offers technically complex projects and unique opportunities for growth. You will be a team member contributing to our environmental services market, participating in services related to investigation, remediation, and sustainability. Position is based out of Mountain View, CA. Candidate must be local due to field work responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Follows and develops work plans and HASPs
  • Conducts field work including groundwater monitoring/remediation, indoor air and soil gas sampling, and assisting with mitigation system installation
  • Coordinates with laboratories, drillers, vendors and subcontractors
  • Conducts and leads analytical tasks such as field mapping, preparing tables, and charts using software reporting tools.
  • Evaluates and interprets field and sampling results, contributes to monitoring and evaluation reports
  • Uses in-house proprietary database software
  • Quality assurance and quality control of data
  • Communicates with clients and stakeholders
  • Assists with greenhouse gas verifications

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Civil/Environmental Engineering, Geology, Biological Sciences or related field
  • 0– 3 years + environmental consulting experience
  • Self-starter with good communication and writing skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Attention to details and strong time management capabilities
  • Ability to work in a dynamic environment
  • Ability and willingness to travel to project and client sites–~25% of work time, mostly within Santa Clara County

Sarah Wright joins Locus Technologies as Director of Customer Success

Industry expert joins Locus in key customer-facing role

MOUNTAIN VIEW, Calif., 25 April 2016  — Locus Technologies, the industry leader in cloud-based environmental compliance and information management software, announced today the addition of Sarah Wright as their Director of Customer Success. Customer Success is a new role at Locus, and its main function is managing the technical and business relationships between Locus and its customers, with the intent of maximizing the value that customers derive from the Locus SaaS solutions. With EHS compliance and sustainability becoming more integrated at large enterprises, Locus hopes to broaden and deepen its relationships with existing and future customers across customers’ divisions and various regulatory domains by expanding its engagement.

Before joining Locus, Ms. Wright worked as a database implementation specialist, directing global and regional environmental data management software implementations. She has worked closely with Fortune 100 companies to ensure success with their environmental software projects for single and enterprise systems. In addition to implementations and targeted trainings, Sarah is an expert in software system audits and environmental data management needs assessments to ensure companies’ data management systems function optimally. She holds a Bachelor’s Degree from University of Illinois in Natural Resources and Environmental Sciences.

In addition to her environmental data management expertise, she has also worked in many facets of the environmental industry including analytical laboratories, environmental regulatory agencies, and remediation consulting firms. Ms. Wright is also co-chair in the upcoming International Conference for Environmental Data Management (ICEDM), where environmental data management experts share knowledge on best practices.
