May 10 - May 11
ICEDM is a grassroots opportunity for environmental data management professionals to share ideas, brainstorm & collaborate, and present success stories.
Locus is excited to sponsor and present at the upcoming International Conference on Environmental Data Management (ICEDM) Conference May 10–11, 2017 in Indianapolis, Indiana. The conference is a popular event for data managers across the world and provides a valuable venue for data managers to exchange ideas, develop strategies and learn from each other.
Several of Locus’ team members have been involved in this year’s ICEDM Best Management Practices (BMP) committees dedicated to developing and communicating best practices for the industry. As leaders in the environmental data management community, Locus has been committed to attending and assisting with ICEDM’s BMP efforts.
We hope to see many members of our user community at the conference in Indianapolis to hear David McConaughy, Sr. Project Manager at Locus, present about a large Locus EIM implementation’s success and lessons learned. For more information about ICEDM, please visit icedm.net.
Driving Utilization of an Enterprise Environmental Information Management System (May 11, 2:30 p.m.)
When implementing an enterprise Environmental Information Management System (EIMS), companies will typically have a business case, and set of objectives that drive the selection and initial implementation of the solution. The challenge for many companies is to translate those business objectives into a sustainable process in which all stakeholders are invested, and for which measurable performance can be assessed over time. Two case studies, both involving large Oil & Gas companies, are evaluated to determine the factors that influenced the success of those EIMS implementations, and to provide prescriptive guidance for other companies engaged in similar efforts.
